Can Irregular Intake Of BC Pill Cause Brown Vaginal Discharge?

I havent been taking my pill at fixed times but all over the i then took my pill twice on one day then carried one once a day after that, i then had sex on the friday with my boyfriend but there was a brownish discharge as he pulled out , coudl this be a side effect
