Can Lower Abdomen Pain Be Side Effects Of Mirena IUD?

I have had the Mirena IUD for 6 months now. I have had regular periods every month that usually lasted 4-5 days. I did not have a period in March, but I did have one for April and its been 9 days of a light-normal flow. I remember just before getting my period, I had a very sharp pain in my lower abdomen after having sex. Is there any concern that the Mirena could be out of place which is why my period is longer than usual?
