Can Morning After Pill Cause Irregular Periods?

Hello There, i am 18, and i took the morning after pill on christmas day, just hours after having sex. I had a period a week later one, but are these the side affects or an actualy period? im not sure.. and i still havnt come on since!, HELP?! i was meant to come on wednesday!
