Can Person With Scleroderma Get A Tattoo?

Hi,
I have diagnosed scleroderma which manifests with skin atrophy. my question is whether i can get a tattoo (on the parts of my body where I have this atrophy). I have talked to my tattoo artist and he said he havent heard of my disease so he is not sure. but he is afraid that if my skin in some parts is thiner it could cause bluring of my tattoo. so second question is which part of skin is usually thiner in a disease like mine? thank you in advance.
