Can Pregnancy Be Prevented By Taking I-pill Within 3 Hours Of Sex?

i had sex with my bf on 18th March, afternoon. It was safely done using condom. but somehow he cud see some gel on my vagina. Then i took i pill after 3 hours. around 6 p.m. in evening. so is it safe to take pill within 3 hours of Sex? Any chance of pregnancy.
