Can Pregnenolone Be Taken For Mood Swings And Fatigue While On Cortef Tid?

I'm 60 with secondary addisons from a pituitary adenoma removed 7 years ago. I take cortef tid, I am followed by an endocrinologist. I also take DHEA cream, 45 mg. per day. There is the continuous irritation of low energy. Anything else to offer? Electrolytes are normal. Is a trial of pregnenolone worthwhile?
