Can Prostatic Varices Lead To Elevated PSA Levels?

Can you please tell me if prostate varices (diagnosed on cystoscopy) can lead to elevated PSA levels. My PSA s have gone from 3.21 (around the time of cystoscopy) to 4.7 and repeat 3 weeks later 5.5. I am 65 years old with my younger brother s/p robotic prostatectomy for prostate CA. I m scheduled for a urology evaluation at MD Anderson in Houston, TX next week. I was just reviewing my urology notes and noted the prostate varices (I had some terminal hematuria) on the cyto report. Thanks for your response. Louis
