Can Pulling Out A Stuck Tampon Cause Hymen To Break?

Today my tampon was causing me pain when I was trying to get it out and I noticed there was a bit of skin or something attatched over the edge of the tampon and when I was pulling the tampon, it was pulling the skin and thats what caused my pain. But I then kept pulling and the tampon finally came out, now that bit of skin is broken and theres just a bit of skin hanging there.. Does that mean I've broken my hymen and will that heal or fall off or what?
