Can Regular Usage Of Deodorant Cause Pain And Lump Under The Arms?

I went for a 4 mile run yesterday, when i was in the shower i lifted my arm & it was sore, like a bruise. I felt where it hurt & there's a lump the size of a pea. Today it still hurts & the pea size lump is still there. I've been using a deodrant for the last year that stops sweating, as i sweat a lot. I wasn't sure if it was due to the fact that my armpits do not sweat at all even after a long run!
