Can Scar Tissue From Piercing Cause Abnormal Mammogram Report?

My wife just had a mamogram. She has nipple piercings for many years. Her primary doctor told her to see a radiologist. What could be wrong? Or what might have they seen on the mamogram? Scar tissue from the piercings. My wife is 43, physically active and in good health
