Can Severe Burn On The Hand Cause Pain In The Shoulder?

hello, i burned my hand severely a week ago. since then i have had on-again-off-again pain in my fingers. today i have a prickly, tingling pain in my shoulder (on the same arm as the burn). I also slept on a new mattress last night and am wondering if the pain is due to a change in sleeping circumstances or an infection that has travelled up my arm.
