Can Sexual Intercourse After Undergoing Pap Smear Lead To Raw Cervix?

my wife had a pap smear today and the doctor was called in. He said to my wife that she appeared to have cervical erosion. He has set up an appointment for her next week with a consultant. However a thought occured to me. On Sunday we had sexual intercourse. My wife is going through the perimenopause and had mixed periods for two months and had one about a week ago. She is 53 years old. About 5 foot 2 and obese (not overly) Could the raw cervix be caused by sexual intercourse during perimenopause. I noticed that it was quite she did not seem very lubricated at all and was very dry. So much so that it was a bit un comfortable for me.
