Can Shingles Be Treated?

I either have lichen planus, oral shingles, or BMS. Have been to the dentist, and he referred me to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon leans towards shingles and wanted to do a biopsy. He said he wasn t concerned about cancer at all but it would help to get a diagnosis. However, he said there was nothing that could help shingles. Any help?
