Can Spicy Food Be Eaten Sometimes If Prone To Stomach Ache?

I had a sudden stomach ache ache, so went to my GP. She first said it was because of stress, but later she said it was because of spicy. Now it's been a year that I have avoided spicy, my stomach is better. Do you think I will ever be able to have spicy food again?
