Can Spotting With Strong Period Pains Mean Pregnancy?

i am not sure if i am pregnant and i've taken home pregnancy tests and they all came out negative.. i don't feel pregnant except for the usual symtoms and having strong period pains and nothing is comming out except today when i started spotting, could i be pregnant?
