Can Starting A New Pack Of Tri Previfem Before Periods Postpone Periods?

So, I stopped taking my tri- previfem birth control a month ago, but I realized I am going to have my monthly during a school trip, and it will most likely ruin my trip, because I get bad cramps and heavy flow on my monthly. But I want to know if there is anyway I could possibly skip my period if I started a new pack before my expected period. (Which is in about 2 weeks.)
