Can Swelling Inside Throat Be A Symptom Of Tonsillitis?

Well I woke up like I normally do. I felt really good and I am ready for the gym later today. But when I was eating I felt kind of weird, I went to the mirror to check and I noticed that I look a little bigger around the throat, it's not a major difference but it's a little noticable...I checked online and saw that if it's tonsillitis or the kissing-disease I should have a wide variety of symptoms such as fatigue, loss of apetite and even spots on my tonsils. But I am not experiencing anything but the swelling (For now atleast)....should I be worried?
