Can Taking Concerta Cause Any Side Effects?

I just took one of my prescribed concerta pills because I was having a hard time focusing on my work and it is later in the day then I usually take it, how do I counteract it? I feel really paranoid about nothing, jittery, uncomfortable and full of the kind of energy that doesn t do anything but make things worse
