Can Tanning Bed Be Used Instead Of Phototherapy For Lichen Planus?

Hello My name Christine I am 40 years and and was diag with Lichen Planus, My question is instead of phototheropy can I use a tanning bed? due to summer just around the corner. Also nmy spots were getting better more on the brown side , now they are prurple again ? I do not understand this? Please help! Thanks
