Can Thyroid Disorder Cause Fibroids On Uterus?

I am 52 years old female. I had my thyroid removed 14 years ago due to cancer and have been on 200mg Thyroxine ever since. This dose keeps me 'slightly' hyper so that cancerous thyroid tissue is discouraged to grow. All good so far. However I have just developed frozen shoulder and my reading tells me that this can sometimes be linked with thyroid conditions. Which leads me to my question. I also have uterus fibriods x3 about the size of small oranges. I have no discomfort or pain or bleeding. They have been there for 5+ years. I am menopausal (5+ years) and maybe in the last stages. Is there any connection been made between thyroid disorders-hypo/hper and the growth of fibroids??
