Can Treatment For Kidney Infection Cause Visual Hallucinations?

My friend had lipotripsy 3 times recently. Stints were put in and he had the last one removed last Tuesday. Started a kidney infection 2 days ago, in hospital on antibiotics. Much improved. He is having hallucinations Elderly hallucination. Only visual. Does this go along with kidney infections. His main kidney problem is kidney stones all his life.
