Can Using Vaseline Cause Pimples On Face?

Hi i am searching for an answer about what i should do. Over winter break of 2010 there were a series of pimples under my right eye and i popped them which turned into a bigger problem. They turned into bigger red bumps that would NOT go away until February. I used some of my moms Rozge' skin whitening cream and it went away. Now i have a pimple at the top of my nose by my right eye and 3 by the side of my mouth. i popped all of them and they are black swollen and i used skin whitening cream but that didn't work. but before i poped them washing my face nightly did not work at all. so, i'm not sure if its because im not supposed to use vaseline (not the lotion the oily on). that might be the cause of my serious pimples i also have a whole lot on the top of my forehead.
