Can Uterine Polyps Cause Constant Abdominal Pain And Heavy Periods?

I was recently told my altrasound results showed that i have uterine polyps I have constant abdominal pain and very heavy periods. my specailist apointment isnt for another month but I dont know how long i can stand this discomfort was wondering if maybe there is something else going on other than just polyps ????
