Can Uterus Infection Cause Trouble In Conceiving?

Hi 9 years ago i contracted a uterus infection 3weeks after giving birth i was prescribed antibiotics we have been trying for another child for past 2 years and no sucess yet . Could it be due to the infection maybe left scar tissue or what ever you call it
