Can Yazmin Pill Be Taken Soon After Finishing Periods?

hi i had my contracpetive imaplant took out last wednesday. i have now had my period and just coming off, my doctor has perscribed me with th yazmin contraceptive pill, could i start taking that from tomorrow morning? does it take 7 days for it start working?. Will i be covered or not ? really confused
