Can You Define Pleurasy (spelling?) For Me? My Mother Had

Can you define Pleurasy (spelling?) for me? My mother had it. She always explained it as pain kind of coming from nowhere. I'm developing those same pains. I have a pain under my armpit kind of by my ribcage that I can't explain and it's continual and very uncomfortable. Could this be the same thing?
