Coronary heart disease runs in my father's side of the family; and hypertension and hyperthyroidism runs in my mother's side. I am in good health but am now 56, but I am pre-hypertensive (140/80). I plan to get a physical this year. Would I need (or ask for) a blood lipid profile or blood glucose test?
