Coughed About 2 Weeks Ago And Something Felt Like It

Coughed about 2 weeks ago and something felt like it ripped inside on left side below ribs. Went to doctor thought it was a pulled muscle, pain meds and muscle relax. Pain has spread around my belly button went to er done CT stated it was cartilage. More pain meds and a inflammatory. That was Friday early morning hours. Pain is still there and seems worse. Don't know what to do please help
