Could Duphaston Cause Weight Gain And Water Retention On Stomach During Pregnancy?

I have been prescribed duphuston 10 mg 2wice a day for my first trimester . I have gained weight / water retention on my stomach since then . Could this be the cause ? My dr plans on stopping it post the first trimester . After how long of stopping it will the bloating go ?
