Could I Still Have COVID If I Felt Unwell With A High Fever?

Hi so yesterday I had a 103.4 temp and didn’t feel good for most of the day then I took a steroid and some Medicine and I feel fine as of now but I was in contact with someone who tested positive for covid on Tuesday when he tested positive on Saturday I got a test done and I’m not sure if I have it or not what are your thoughts
