Could A Hard Hit On Arm Causing A Bruise Indicate Chipped Bone?

about three weeks ago we had a ice storm in the south. i started out the trailer and when i did i nearly fell. to prevent me from hitting my head i grab the railing. that didn t help matters. instead of hitting my head i hit my left arm hard. it seems to be the bone on the pinky side not the thumb side. if it has been three weeks is it too late to do anything to a bone? i feel like it is more chipped than broke because it feels like something is on a nerve or i bruised it badly. what is your opinion?
