Could Alcohol Intake Be The Cause For Blind Spot In Eyes?

I have a blind spot in both eyes. It s like a small light. It takes the first letter of every word. I was referred to a Nero-opthamologist. I noticed it in January. I stopped drinking for 3 months before, but started again the same time I noticed it. I am also, under sever stress anxiety right now. Could either of these, especially starting to drink again have caused this? Thank you! Sorry for 6 months before
