Could Baker S Cyst Behind Knee Turn Into Blood Clot?

Hi, I was diagnosed with a bakers cyst behind my knee about 6 months ago. It is causing me much more pain now behind & in front of my leg, & down my shin. I m finding it difficult to drive now too as the pain is quite severe. Could this turn into a blood clot?
