Could Behavioural Changes Be Due To Hormonal Imbalance?
We have a 13 year old son, who will be 14 in April 2015. We ve never experienced a lot of behavior attitude from him, and are just recently in the last few months having to deal with this with him. He has a 17year old sister who we had to go through a ton of issues when she turned 13 and I do not want to handle my son in the same manner as I think my husband and I could have handled her attitude better with out yelling and screaming all the time. the bantering I want to stop with my son. He plays a high level of hockey and it s not turned out to be exactly what he thought it was (he used to be top 3 on his team) and has now experienced being on the lower end of the roster and I m not sure he knows how to handle that. He is rude, disrespectful to my husband and I along with his sister who is now showing great signs of maturing. He recently had two concussions within a month from hockey and also experience an anaflactic allergic reaction to come Cheetos Cheezies in the last 2 1/1 months which took a huge toll on his health. He also has a girlfriend that we recently found out he lied to us and said that he was sleeping at a friends house when enfact he told his sister he slept at her house. We do not allow his girlfriend and him to be home alone, nor spend more than 1/2 hour alone in the basement so finding out her mother may have allowed this without discussing it with his parents I m not sure I think she even knew he was there. Which I m completely taken aback by, he s had some behavior issues at school with a change of teachers and as recently yesterday been bullying a kid at school and got into a fight. I m not sure where to begin to set the boundries and figure out what the consequences should be. He does have an iphone with only wifi access we do not own any gaming boxes except a wii which he rarely plays. He listens to RAP music and is disrespectful with it as he has downloaded the explicit songs of which we tell him he is not allowed to listen to and ask he turn it off. I need some advice????? help.
