Could Blood In Urine Be Due To Menstruation?

I ve had blood on toilet paper after urinating but urine looks fine. The blood is also there sometimes when I haven t gone to the bathroom so I m assuming I m having a very light period. I am 50 so that s normal. If it was from Urine I m thinking it would only be there after urinating. Does that sound right?
