Could Complete Opacification Of The Right Maxillary Sinus On A CT After A Fall Be Caused By A Tumor Or Dental Infection?
I just had a head CT today after a fall caused a laceration above my right eyebrow. The CT apparently revealed a complete opacification of the right maxillary sinus. I am concerned, because one of the possible causes listed was a tumor. In doing some research online I have also learned that severe dental infections could cause this, and I have battled gum disease. Could you please tell me more about this syndrome? I will be making an appointment on Monday with a local ENT specialist, but am worried, FWIW, I m 69 years old. Thank you for your advice.
