Could Diarrhea, Severe Pain In Abdomen With Vomiting Post Lunch Be Food Poisoning?

During dinner, my husband bit into his chicken & ran to spit the bite into the garbage. He said it was disgusting. A half hour after dinner he had diarrhea, severe abdominal pain and has been vomiting ever since. He is in extreme discomfort. Mid abdomen to low pain. Is there something I could give him for the pain? We suspect food poisoning.
