Could Difficulty In Swallowing Be Due To Scraped Throat?

My son has swallowed a fish bone. I have had a look with a torch and cant see it but he says it really hurts to swallow. I know this may just be where it has scratched on the way down. I have given him some nuts to try and dislodge it if it is stuck and some fizzy water (home remedies I read can work). Should i leave it and see how it feels tomorrow or take him into a and e. He is only distressed when he swallows and it is painful.
