Could Dizzy Spells Be Due To Extra Dosage Of Blood Pressure Pills?

I have had high blood pressure since Sept.2014 and my doc put me on 1.25 mg .I have been experiencing dizzy spells in the past month.I went to see her today and she suggested taking half the medication and come back and see her in a week.now the tests she had me do shows a good reading.Should I see an internist?
