Could Dry Mouth And Throat Along With Dizziness Indicate Diabetes?

Hi, I m thirsty all the time with a constant dry mouth and throat despite drinking lots of water, and I ve had 6 dizzy spells today where I felt the room spinning and felt I was going to black out, could this be diabetes? I m 44, I weigh around 21 stones, my father has late onset diabetes and his Mother also had diabetes.
