Could Elevated Blood Pressure Be The Cause For Headaches?

My husband is 38, wieghs 205, 5' 7" and has had a headache for over 2 weeks? He took his blood pressure today after lunch and it was 138/100, I'm concerned because both of his maternal grandparents are diabetic and have high blood pressure. Should he be seeking medical help? This is the first time he has ever checked his blood pressure. Thanks Jeni
