Could Heaviness In Ears Be Due To Nodule On Thyroid?

Hi i have a nogil on my thyroid that is being watched by my ear, nose and throat doctor but I have been feeling fine. I just took my son to New York to see his girl friend for a christmas present for one day and I was fine the entire time until the night before we left had a little trouble breathing and then it went from that to a burning throat, nose and ears. It feels like I was under water and it is going away slowly but heaviness in the ears still there a little. I gave myself two asthma treatments with the nebulizer and gargled with sea salt water and honey and it is still heavy in the ears but a little better what do you suggest?
