Could Hunger Elevate High BP?

I have noticed when I have gone 14-16 hours without eating (overnight and into the middle of the next morning), my blood pressure will be higher (148/42). After I eat it will drop back to around 129/71. Did being hungry be a cause of the higher blood pressure?
