Could Increased Dose Of Ascorbic Acid While On Coma Cause Elevated BP?

Hi, my husband s blood pressure has been elevated today, 157/80. However for almost two weeks, his blood pressure was stable in the low 120 s over 70 s/80 s. He has been in a coma over a month now, however his eyes are open now and he shows signs of alertness more and more. My suspicion is that it could be due to his increased dose of ascorbic acid today. It could also be caused due to eye strain, as he is trying to refocus his eyes.
