Could Irregular Periods Be Due To PCOs?

i am 29 year old woman with pcos and i have never had regular periods in fact only about 4 without the pill and i have been off the pill for 6 years, since christmas 2010 i have been having regular spotting lasting up to a week every 2 weeks, the last 2 weeks i have spotted continous sometimes heavier than normal and i am concerned
