Could Itchy Mole On Scalp Be Malignant?

Hi, I have a mole on my scalp that has been itching for at least a few years now. I finally had my son look at it and take a picture for me. Looks like it s about 2 mm in size and it s a dark pink/red with some white to it. Looks round without odd borders. It is raised. Given that it s been itchy for as long as it has and it seems to be stable, is there still concern about it being cancerous?
