Could Itchy, Trailing Black Specs On Body Be Scabies?

My mother thinks she has scabies. She's been to one dermatologist and 4 mds and they have written rxs for permethrin cream, triamcinolone along with various other meds. nothing has worked. the 1st one I mentioned takes care of the itching. they are a black specs that "trails". I live with her because she has health problems, i.e., 2 open hearts (2000), pace make (2014) bp, stints and many other issues. Believe it or not, to look at her she's a picture of health. But I can't leave her alone for my own piece of mind. She is 74 and looks 65. She takes good care of herself so this is driving her crazy. Whatever she has is, I don't think, not contagious because I don't have it. I'm not sure what else to tell you but I would like to get her in to see you to get a culture. The sooner the better.
