Could Large Lump On The Elbow Be Drained?

I have a large hematoma looking thing on my elbo where i took on a couple urchin spines two weeks ago. Not really bothering me but doesn t seem to be getting smaller. A dr. told me they are hard to find and to leave it alone. I am thinking i should drain it. What do you think?
