Could Leg Swelling After Recovering From Typhoid Indicate A Kidney Problem?

Respected sir, This query is regarding my father he is a diabetic patients .and he just recovered from typhoid but he have developed swelling in legs. During typhoid he was on paracetamol medication. Now when he consult a doctor a doctor recommended nephrosave tablet to him. He got tested cretanine . All was normal in the report.i would like to ask sir is there any problems with his kidney.
