Could Low Grade Temperature And Severe Cough Be Withdrawal Symptoms Of Prednisone?

I have been diagnosed with intersticial lung disease and have been on prednisone successfully for over a year and a half wit serious weight gain. I am trying to cut down on the mg s per day but I get a low grade temp. and a severe non stop cough when I cut back too far. The lung disease has been called hypersensitivity numinitis or a Dr s cop out for we don t know whats causing the problems. Any new ideas?
